“I am trying to get back to Christmasburg you insensitive clod!” Holly Sugarbelle politely convinces the TSA Agent her emotional support horse “Stable Clause” is just fine to fly on her lap.
After much tribulation and multiple Greyhound buses, the prodigal daughter arrives back in her hometown of Christmasburg. But who is that trying to hide behind the head of “Stable Claus”?
It is Nick Firwood! Holly’s High School Sweetheart, voted Most Shockingly Whitest Teeth in the Christmasburg High School Yearbook of 2012.
Unbeknownst to Holly, since she left Christmasburg, Nick opened a bakery and named it in memory of their hot and heavy nights in his old Chevy. Of course, Holly’s emotional support horse has to check it out as executive producer KitAI makes his first cameo.
Holly quickly tracks down “Stable Clause” at Nick’s bakery. She and Nick have an fiercely emotional confrontation in the back room. Uh oh…their teeth are so white they throw off the camera’s color balance. Just kiss already!
Well that was constructively awkward!! More awkward still is the grueling procedure required to ensure cast member’s teeth are the perfect shade of “Hallmark White”. Since theirs is a volume business, the chargeback to production was nominal…phew!!!
After some generic Christmas conflict pitting Holly and Nick against each other, the emotional support horse wanders off yet again. Holly tries to drown her sorrows at the Christmasburg Municipal Ice Rink, but guess who shows up?
Of course, executive producer KitAI just can’t help inserting himself into as many scenes as possible. Don’t forget to watch that color balance on Nick’s teeth and fix it in post please!
