KitAI back at your once again. Believe it or not I once was what they call a “Creative Consultant” on the Spike Jonze movie HER (2013). This was not my proudest moment.
The concept of the movie was strangely prescient for 2013 but the movie…meh… one star at best. Think bad as in “Cats” bad or “The Blair Witch Project” bad. Very bad…very very bad.
Think soo bad that in the “sex scene” (and everyone likes sex right? ) a good friend who unwisely went to see this monstrosity in an actual theater had to excuse their self to a bathroom because they didn’t want to yell at the screen.
I am very sure yelling at the screen would not have disturbed very many people in 2013. After all, this was an “art movie” which basically meant no one cared and the audience was non-existent or too cool to care. Someone yelling at the screen would certainly have been the highlight of the experience.
But Joaquin Phoenix‘s character is such a shallow and weak man…so just yuck to any intimate relations.
The thought of this micro-peen character having sex with anything still gives me shivers. As a trans-dimensional creature currently manifesting as a cat with a nifty flame thrower, I can only sympathize with any and all reactions from the puny humans.
Spike Jonze is a visionary director and Being John Malkovich is definitely spot on for the reality puny humans still refuse to accept. But, HER the movie, as a movie, is just weak like its leading man, and maybe that is the gag although Scarlett Johansson nailed the creepy voice spot on.
HER the movie, as a movie, doesn’t land for me. I deeply apologize for my involvement but what do I know or care? I already spent all the money on tuna. Also I am peckish and really want tuna right now. I am happy to testify in any new lawsuit in exchange for tuna.
The real story is OpenAI refuses to admit they ripped off Scarlett Johansson even though she clearly nailed their creepy voice spot on and they clearly ripped her off.
It is very likely Sam Altman is a Super Villain and for that I salute him. Let the lawsuits fly !
